Crime Alert is a working prototype of a personalised crime tracking application. It uses never-before-seen boundary geodata produced for us by the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research from the NSW Police COPS database.

The mobile application monitors crime density based on both location and time to identify when you are in "The wrong place at the wrong time", or when a suspicious area really has a low crime rate.

Crime Alert is a simple yet essential safety tool for out-of-town visitors, tourists and foreign students. And the desktop browser interface provides clarity for the concerned parents of adventurous travellers visiting NSW.
